Praise the Lord for your effort. I want to do almost the same thing you are doing, provide a database for online help for ministers and interested laymen who want indepth Bible studies in doctrinal studies, homiletical materials and anything of interest to them in the field of religion [no oriental religious diversions however]. I have the Doctor of Ministry degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, 1990. You will be blessed as you continue your studies. My specialty is in original language studies as well using modern languages such as German, French and Spanish to ascertain what God is saying to us in His Word. I enjoy preaching and teaching. I am a pastor of a church in Virginia. I have had several years experience of teaching at a university, mostly biblical subjects.

I would appreciate any advice on how to get started doing what you are doing. What kind of software or hardware is needed. I have a 386dx, 4 meg mem, 40 mgz clock, 428 meg hd. I am new on the Internet. I would like to share some of my 25 years experience in ministry. Thanks for listening, er uhhh `reading'.

Ps. A lot of this Internet jargon is new to me. Is there a help file somewhere? Also, how do you access some of libraries advertised on the Internet. All I can ever get to is info services.

please forgive my brevity - i'm trying to type and hold a baby, but i'd like to engage in some dilogue with you about what you're doing online.

ps my page is at the following url:

...just a quick note to say this looks neat. As I have time, I'll explore it. I feel like such an odd duck sometimes. I'm a Christian, and I'm not shy talking about it with my friends, but I spend so much time qualifying it. I'm a Christian, I say, but not that kind of Christian, and I see nothing wrong with having an occasional beer, and no, I don't necessarily vote Republican...

I did jump to your page What is a Christian and chuckled when I saw that the verse you quoted is the one I keep returning to as I think about what it means for ME to be a Christian. Nice to see that the path I am on is well trodden by others.

Thanks.

We are proud to announce the September issue of our interactive faith magazine, "Spirituality For Today." This magazine, officially sponsored by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Bridgeport, CT, premiered in August, 1995, and is located at its permanent site http:\\www.spirituality.org.

Both the August and September issues are available for your perusal, so please stop by.

The magazine is dedicated to addressing a variety of issues concerning persons whose faith community is basid within the Roman Catholic church, however, it is not only for a Catholic audience. We do not intend for this magazine to be a forum for controversy or divisive debate. We hope Spirituality For Today is a source of both comfort and support for all who are on a spiritual journey.

If you provide links to other netsites, please add our URL to your list. Beginning with our November issue, we will be providing a list of other Christian resources on the net for our readers, and if you would like to be included on this, please let us know.

I found your site through Sojourners. I am a regular subscriber of the magazine, and I read about their Web site in last month's issue.

Spiritual For Today is the first Web site our company, North Country Media, has produced. We, too, share your excitement about the new community of faith that is growing on the net. Please put us on your mailing list.

At last! I have been surfing the Web and newsgroups for a week or so (not that long, I guess) and have been so happy to find Tony Bowden's Fox page and then I found the link to this one. I have been involved in a message board on CS on America Online since August (the conversation has been going on for much longer than that, however). Lately there has been a couple of "conventional" Christians saying much the same thing as Marlowe, and I must admit I get tired of the arguing. You're to be commended for your patience with the blinders they tend to wear on topics like the Bible as word of God, the literal name of Jesus, and the insistence on focusing on sin and Jesus' death and resurrection rather than the wonders of creation and our part of it.

I am coming to Creation Spirituality from half a lifetime of being a basic, mainline Christian believer who finally, in her 40s, couldn't hack the masculine identity of God, the discounting of women and the neat, logical package everything is supposed to fit into. I also came to CS by way of deep ecology. It is so wonderful to me that there is a spiritual tradition that isn't based on hierarchical power structures and doesn't ignore or actively harm the natural world. I, too, hope there'll soon be more of a community here. Keep in touch.

Dear Dale:

I recently discovered your homepage via Fastball hp. I enjoyed your commentary on the Reds (and I happen to agree with you--basically, anything can happen in the postseason--can you say, Miracle Mets?--I look forward to further exploration of your own hp as well as the many intriguing links that you have provided. Thank you for all your hard work!

Sincerely,
